I am editing a graphic in Powerpoint and it is a diagram of a street layout.
When I am zoomed in and scroll down to edit it a point the minute I am done
it shoots me right back to the top of the page. Is there a way to turn that
off?

No. It's a huge annoyance. We're all hoping Microsoft will fix it in a
service pack. (and soon, please, if any of you Microsoft folks are
reading....)

When you save your changes it will always orient to the selected object, in
this case the whole diagram. I suppose you could ungroup the diagram and
edit the seperate pieces, but I don't think that's what you're looking for.

Hi Chad

I'm afraid that's a known bug in 2007 and there's nothing you can do -
except wait patiently for microsoft to come up with a patch.

Hi Chad

You need to explain what you are doing "the minute you are done". My guess
is that you are inadvertantly selecting an object at the top of the page (eg
the title?). Powerpoint zooms in on selected objects. Try zooming out and
seeing if something is selected.
