Editing within an audio clip

I am a relative novice to WMM. I have created a simple slideshow with about
150 pictures and an audio clip. What I would like to be able to do is turn
the audio clip volume up and down at various points during the slide show. I
know I can fade in and out at the beginning and end of the clip, and adjust
the overall volume of the clip, but is there a way to do those things at
multiple places within one continuous clip?

If not, what are some suggestions?

Thanks

Did you try splitting the clip and adjust
the volume of the various segments?

Maybe something in the following
tutorial will work for you:

"Splitting A Clip In MM2.1"

Drag the video/audio clip to the
Timeline.

Play the video/audio by clicking the
"Play" button under the view screen.

You will see the Playback Indicator
(vertical line) advancing across the
timeline.

Click the "Pause" button at the point
where you wish to trim and type...
Ctrl+L or click the "Split" button at the
bottom of the view screen.
(you can also make adjustments by
dragging the Playback Indicator)

Make as many splits as you want and
remove the unwanted clips by right
click / delete.

Hi John,

Thanks for your help. That sounds like a pretty common sense solution that I
didn't even consider. Told you I was a novice...lol....

One other thing. When I am editing the slideshow and am trying to sync
pictures with specific points on the audio clip, I am able to pause the clip
where I want to edit but when I click back up on the picture I want to to
edit, the whole timeline shifts back to the very begining of the slideshow
and then i have to scroll back to the point in the slideshow where i want to
sync the picture with the audio and kind of "guess" where I want them to sync
up. Is there anyway to actually mark the point in the audio clip where i want
to sync the picture to?

Sorry but your second question goes
right over my head...maybe someone
else will offer a solution.
