Editing slide show while presenting

I hope I can explain this correctly......I will be involved in a fund raiser
where there will be winners drawn for prizes and we want to have the names
displayed up on the screen in the room. How can I have the slide show up on
the large screen and then add the next winner after they are drawn and update
the slide show to show the new winner and so on for all 50 winners?

It depends a lot on which version you're using, as Microsoft has been
removing this type of feature.
