trying to remove a cell phone number from the advanced/properties/phone-notes
field in outlook.

Care to post a question that someone might be able to understand? Spare no
detail.

Is this a venue for sarcastic replies or to help someone with information you
can share. I'm sure this question could have been asked in another way, if
all the information was not provided.
My cell number is listed in the contact properties information in outlook.
I need to remove that information from that field(mobile number). The trailer
given previously is how I access that information.

Your post still makes no sense. We have no idea what Outlook version you are
using, what you mean by "contact properties information" (that term has no
meaning to anyone but you), what you are trying to do, or what is not
happening that you think should. If you want help in a newsgroup, it is your
job to post a clear question. We can't read minds and we can't see what you
are doing.

You left out considerable amount of information resulting in a very nebulous
question leaving readers to "guess" as to what you are referring to.

Specifically, can't figure out where you would start with <advanced> to get
at the "Phone/Notes" tab of the GAL contact info (using your "trailer" of
<advanced/properties/phone-notes field> unless you are referring to
"Advanced Find" preceding "properties"). Going to assume you are referring
to "addressbook/all users/name/properties" (basically - the properties of a
single GAL contact entry - your's or anyone else's using whatever steps you
followed to access that info) where Phone/Notes is a tab name - not a field
name (there is no standard Outlook/Exch <field> named "phone-notes" - simply
doesn't exist). Anyone who is not using Exch would have absolutely no clue
as to what you were alluding to (presuming of course that my guess is
correct).

Short answer to your question - contact your Exchange Admin to edit your
info - not something you can do from Outlook.

In future, would respectfully suggest providing complete and "very specific"
details for any question posed (least of which is Outlook version and exact
steps related to any question asked).
