Is there a way to cut the middle of a music clip and keep the beginning and
the end? I can only seem to make it cut off the beginning or end, but not
the middle.

If you are talking about what you have on the Audio/Music track then you
will have to edit the music file separately and re-import it back to WMM. I
have been using the Wave Editor that comes with Nero Ultra, but you should
be able to use any WAV editor that allows you to select portions of the
Music file and add effects or manipulate the volume.

Hope that helps,

There is a simple way to do it. If you have the music clip on the audio
line, select it, then drag the right arrow to the left to delete the sound
all the way until the end of the first part that you want to keep. Then go
up and drag the entire clip down to the audio line again. This time select
it, and drag the left arrow to the right all the way until you get to the
final part of the audio you want to keep. This way the entire middle part
won't be there!! TA DA!!!

Thanks for this tip dick. In the book Zero to Hero, Audio Editing digrams &
txts refer to and illustrate "waveform to indicate volume" Is this possible
in MM? And if so how can I get to view the 'waves setup@ which I think would
be very helpful?
Many thanks
