I recorded two hours of film in a hotel ballroom, when
viewing it on moviemaker, they are very dark, I went to
effects and tried to add brightness, it seemed to have no
effect, how can I lighten the film?

try applying the brightness effect multiple times it's
effect is cumulative so if you keep doing ti you should
see some improvement. You do this by right clicking the
clip and selecting video effects to get he add or remove
video effects dialogue

Dvd. Thanks again.
