I've created an Access 2007 db, moved it to SharePoint with linked tables,
but still want to be able to edit the Access db structure in Access. How do
you set it up to be able to do this?

Thanks,
Laura

Hi Maurice:

That didn't do it- whenever I try to edit a linked table in Access (checked
out) I get an error message saying "Table [name] is a linked table whose
design can't be modified. If you want to add or remove fields or change
their properties or data types, you must do so in the source database."

This should be the source database, so I'm not sure what I need to do
differently. Again, this is after hitting "Move to SharePoint" in Access
2007.

Thanks,
Laura

Move to SharePoint creates a SharePoint list for each table, and links to
those lists in your Access database. If you want to modify the design of the
lists, you need to do that in SharePoint. Your Access database is not the
source database anymore, SharePoint is the source now.

Use check out check in option from within SharePoint

So where do I click in SP? Is it on the db uploaded and select 'Edit in MS
Access'?
