I'm running across this issue where we have WinXP SP2 PC's getting "Open
File - Security Warning. The publisher could not be verified" when they
run some executables.

We do not have a windows domain, we have a Novell network.

I've found a solution at the following link and works great, but the
setting does not stick after a PC reboot.

How do you make changes made via gpedit.msc permanant?

Thank you
Frank

Read the responses on the web page you gave - the one adding the
domain/server name/whatever to "Local internet" sites has the right
solution.
