This looks the kind of place where some one knows the answer.

I have a load of html files produced by frontpage - which I don't have
or know anything about - but would like to edit using a text editor. In
itself this is easy enough but is this going to cause problems
particularly when the frontpage user undertakes further updates.

Thanks

Eric

You can not add/modify any FP webbot code or run-time function outside of FP
and then expect them to work.

For run-time component, the site must then be published to a server with the
FP extensions via FP's http mode or they will not work.

If the files have not FP webbot tags, themes, shared border, FP include
pages, forms, etc. then you should be ok with modifying the page, however if
the remote server has the FP extensions, the updated pages will not be
recognized.
