I am trying to save a doc. from WordPerfect(R)11 to a CD with the ability to
edit it and save the changes to the same CD. Everytime I try, I get the
message that its read only, and I have to save it under a different name.
Please help. I have gone throuth lots of CDs already.
Thanks in advance.

The message is accurate; you cannot overwrite a file written to a CD-R. If
using a CD-R, you must save the file as a different name. Once a file is
written to a CD-R, you absolutely cannot modify it in any way.

You can switch to using CD-RW discs, if you have any packet writing software
installed.
