Editing an appointment changes it automatically to reoccurring

For some reason, every time I go to edit a one-time appointment in Outlook
Calendar it automatically converts it to a recurring appointment. I then have
to "open the series" and "remove the recurrence." This happens when I make
any type of edit, such as changing the time or even the label color of the
appointment. Anyone have a similar problem with Outlook Calendar?

The Crystal Ball says you have a Dell computer and that if you open Control
Panel's Addor Remove Programs and uninstall "Outlookaddinsetup" you'll be
happier.

Thank you so much Brian! That fixed it. I use the Outlook calendar a lot and
had been dealing with that "recurring appointment" bug for a few months -
your solution really improves my daily computing life! :-)
