Dear All,
I have placed my access database(Back end [just the tables] and front end
[other components]) on a server and every user can run it by a shortcut on
the desktop .one more thing about my database is that I have secured it using
encrypt/decrypt database wisard . the problem is that, whenever I login by an
admin user and intend to edit something , a message shows than you are not
allowed to change any thing and changes wont be saved ,even if i opened it
exclusively .Is there any setting missed? I appreciate any help.

You really should give each user a copy of the frontend on their PC
(including you). That way you can make design changes and test using your
copy of the frontend, and only distribute the updated frontend when you're
ready.

There are methods to automate distribution of the frontend to the users.

Dear Joan,
By the way I saw the link you suggested. First of all since I am Iranian, I
don't have any means of transfering money to purchase in abroad. secondly if
it is free I wanted to possibly make sure about the safety of the
utility.thank you

It is free and perfectly safe.

The utility is free for use by you within your organization; if you are
using it as part of an application that you are selling, then Tony expects
payment.

There are also other alternatives at the bottom of the page - it's not too
difficult to write your own.
