while working on my presentation I took a break and saved my progress. when
I tried to return to work, I opened my presentation just fine but I can't
edit it in anyway. Its in a view only format. All my ribbon buttons are
faded so the only thing I am allowed to do is look at my incomplete work....
Any suggestions??

Is Office activated?

Or did you apply "mark as final" to the file before saving?

Or is it a PPT file instead of a PPTX file? If so, it will say
"compatibility mode" at the top of the window. Sometimes compat mode greys
out lots of options, depending on how your slides were formattted.
