I have a picture that I copied and pasted. I need to edit the picture.
Could someone please tell me how to do this. Thanks in advance.

I assume you do not have access to the original file any longer? And even if
you did, you should use a graphics editor to make changes to the picture.

I don't have the original file so how do I do the graphics editor to make the
changes?

Please be aware that there may be copyright issues involved and you really
should check with the owner of that right before you do anything.

Also, this question, like many others, has been asked many, many times. For
future reference you should always check the archives before posting.
(Outside of Office 2007 issues, there are very few things that are new under
the sun.)

My boss is the owner of the picture. He wants me to change this for other
reports. Thank for being concerned.

I would think he has the original then. You'll get much better results if
you can get it from him.

I deal with copyright issues a lot so I am a bit of a hard-nose about these
things. It's nothing personal - just doing my little bitty part to make
others aware. :-)

I didn't take it personally. This is a old manual that was scanned into the
computer many years ago so all I have is the picture on the computer that he
scanned no original. Any ideas?

That's a different critter now. You are going to be limited as to the
changes you can easily make.

What format is this manual in now?

Did you try the method listed in Graham's website? Like I said, you aren't
going to be able to do a whole lot to edit those pictures.

Go here
http://www.gmayor.com/extract_images_from_word.htm

Once you have the picture extracted, open an editing program such as Paint and
do your edits. This is a better program than Paint, free. If you need help, post
again.
