John

Hello and thanks for taking my call,

I am moving and would like to post a form on my website
that will have a picture and price of the items I am
selling and have an area where the viewer can claim the
item by input into the form with name or email address or
whatever.

What is the recommended way of doing such a task.

Thanks!!
John

See if you can find a good third-party Shopping Cart application to use for
this. It would require extensive programming on your part to build it from
scratch. One popular application that integrates with FrontPage is
StoreFront (http://www.StoreFront.net).

Hello Kevin,

With out using a third party. I don't mean to be a pain.
Can you have links to a form that is editable.
Like click on hotlink of an item then enter your name in
a spreadsheet that corespones to the hotlink? The
Storefront plug ins are way to much for this temporary
page I am setting up. I was told there were some FP
extentions that would work. I am looking for something
fast and furious. It's does not have to be commercial
grade.
Thank you very much for your time.

Hey Guys,

I think you think I am trying to create this permant
store or something. I am have an online garage sell. I
am moving back to the USA from Europe. People will come
and pick the stuff up. No online purchasing, shipping
nothing like that. Just a spot where they can claim the
item in a spreadsheet with name or email address. Dirty
and simple. They see the item they click on it and it
goes to a spreadsheet and enter there name or email
address.
It's to simple for you minds and you can't believe I am
asking such a question, is that it? I am just looking
for a place to get started with the "reservation of the
items"
Thanks again

Ok.

Set up your item pages using tables, insert photo and assign each item a
number, then create a form that lists all of the items by item number, have
it open in a new window, this way, as the user is looking at the photos,
they can check a box next to the items wanted, then they can submit the form
to you via email. That as simple as it gets!
