Is it possible to add / edit the XP home registry when using FP 2.x ?

There is only one user on this PC, there is no need for any security.

Can you open the registry editor and add keys to automatically enter (
locked in ) the USER NAME and PASSWORD when publishing a website?

You know after you open FP 2.x, File, Publish Web, User Name and Password.

Thank you.

Impossible to say. What, precisely, is "FP 2.x?" What's wrong with
using WinXP's built-in registry editor, Regedit.exe?

Does the computer ever connect to the Internet? If so, you couldn't
possibly be more wrong.

Not usually, but I suppose that many malware authors have created
scripts for that purpose.

No, we don't know, because you haven't divulged what "FP 2.x" actually is.

Why do you need to permanently add items to the PC Registry with FrontPage
2.x?
Can't you use 'Cookies' instead and pass information from page to page?

FrontPage isn't but maybe FP 2.x is? There wasn't, at least in my memory a
FrontPage version 2.

| Frontpage is not a registry editor....???!

The long and the short is the XP Home does not cache credentials.... so it
isn't possible to 'save' them in the Registry.

Just like XP MCE, you have to logon and off each time... or of course
upgrade to XP Pro.
