Edit the Start Menu folders?

Is it possible to edit the contents of the folders in the
start menu?

For example, if I have various Adobe programs, I would
like to put them under a folder called "Adobe"

There are also several Microsoft programs that I would
like to move to a general "Microsoft" folder.

I can't figure out how to do it, or find any useful help
files in the knowledge base.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,

Right click on the start button and select explore. From here onwards you
can create/delete/modify folders as you would normally do and this would
reflect in the Start >> All programs section.

Start -> Run

Type in:

"Start Menu"

(With or without the quotes)

Click ok.

That will give you access to your start menu. Take note that some things
(good things) are in the ALL USERS profile and not yours, so you would have
to "go up" two directories from here, into the "All Users" folder and into
the "Start Menu" Folder to see that menu as well. They combine into one
nice neat menu system on your start menu button, so if you have:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Adobe
and
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Start Menu\Programs\Adobe

Then the contents of both Adobe folders will be combined and shown as one
Adobe menu when Owner is logged on.

Thank you to you both. That helped me a lot....I really
cleaned up the start menu to have about 1/3 of the
original stuff on there.
