I have a client who had me pull down her published web,
edit a couple of pages and then re publish. I didn't
create a new web in FP02, just opened the html page
inquestion. Publish is greyed out. Used WSFTP to upload
revised page but all the images still point to my local
system. UGGGH!
There's gotta be an easy way around this! Thanks,

Steve

There is an easy way around it. You have to use the software properly.
First, FrontPage is capable of working with server-based webs, file-based
webs, and individual pages. If you open an HTML page in FrontPage and don't
open a web first, FrontPage can only assume that you're working on a
disconnected HTML document on your local hard drive (There is no evidence to
inform FrontPage otherwise). When you insert images into such a page,
therefore, FrontPage makes the image URLs point to the location of the
images on your hard drive. Images in a web page, as you should know, are not
embedded in the page; they are linked to. When you FTP the page to the
remote server, how are the image links supposed to be changed? And the
Publish function pertains to a web, not a disconnected HTML document. To do
this correctly, you should have Published the remote web site to your local
machine, opened the new local FrontPage web, made your changes, and then
published the web back to the server.

I copied the files from their website but have not used FP
before. In other progs, (NetObjects, Pagemill) it's easy
to tell it where the graphics are located.
How do I publish their site to my drive?

Thanks for the help. I'm not new to this by any means,
just new to FP02
