edit replace ALL stops at 9494 occurences

I recently upgraded to Access 2003 and now when I edit
replace ALL in a column, it will only replace 9494
records. I have over 175000 records in this table. I
could do all 175000 with Access 2000? Any suggestions

Run an Update query rather than Edit... Replace.
