I created an EXCEL spreadsheet and linked certain cells to a power point
presentation. Each row in the spreadsheet will be used for a seperate page
in the powerpoint slide (e.g., 23 rows for 23 slides). My first slide is the
master slide (each of the next 22 will look identical with different numbers).

Coping from EXCEL and PASTE SPECIAL / LINKS into powerpoint and having to
realign in each slide is too time consuming. Is there a way to simply edit
the refernced cell?

Have a look at PPT Merge, our data merging addin for PPT
http://www.pptools.com/merge/

But first, try this ...

Select the first row of data in Excel and copy it.
Switch to PPT
Choose Edit, Paste Special, Link and click OK

Repeat on each slide where you want data.
It'll all be row one for now ... no worries.

Now read this, copy and paste the code into your presentation.

Show me the link and let me edit it
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00433.htm

Then select the second excel object in PPT and run the macro from the page
above. Change R1C1:R1C5 (or whatever it is) to R2C1:R2C5 but don't alter the
link info otherwise.

Repeat for each slide.

If you don't want to mess with the code, our StarterSet Plus addin includes an
object properties tool that lets you edit links.
