Edit names

I've inherited a workbook that has some corrupt names in it (they begin with
non-printing characters) that link to non-existant workbooks. I'd like to
delete the names, but it seems that the menu commands won't let you do that
unless the first printable character is a zero. Is there any VBA method to
delete such names or at least edit them to a deletable form?

Thanks for the reminder. That's one of my add-ins, but I need it so
infrequently that I forgot about it.

Really, it is the one of only three 3rd party addins I have installed, and I
use it all the time.
