Edit linked excel data in Access 2003

I have a linked excel spreadsheet in Access 2000. I was able to edit the
excel data directly in Access. When our company upgraded to Office 2003, I
am unable to edit the spreadsheet data in Access 2003. Can someone provide
some insight into this?

It had to do with a copyright issue. Microsoft lost the suit (imagine that)
and had to remove the ability to edit linked Excel spreadsheets from within
Access. Don't know whether this has been resolved in 2007.
