This is a bug as it does the same with Reg files, If you try open a reg file
with notepad you get the same alert and if you click allow it then asks if
you want to merge it into the registry rather than opening it with notepad,
The protection doesnt seem to know the difference between "Open" and "Open
With.." so you get the alerts for both then it runs the file.
There's not many options to workaround this untill they fix the bug, It may
be working the way it should in the next beta release due out later this
year, When you right click the .js file choose "Edit" rather than "Open
With... Notepad" and it should then open into the text editor and not give
any alerts.
The other option would be to right click the bullseye icon on the Taskbar
and on the Security Agent Status area change that to disable Real Time
Protection then edit your script and re-enable the protection
You can open MS Antispy and then Real Time Protection, Click Application
Agents and deactivate the protection for Script Blocking but this creates a
different problem because "Script Blocking" & "Process Execution" both get
disabled and its not possible to activate the checkpoints once they have been
disabled.
The only way to make them active again is to perform a repair install of MS
Antispy, open the Add/Remove programs screen, Click MS Antispyware then press
"Click here for support information" then press "Repair"
These bugs have been present for many months so hopefully they will be fixed
in the beta2 release
