I have a file in which the Edit > Find (i.e., using Cntrl + F)
function seems to not be working. I can copy a cell, then paste the
exact values in the find box, but then when I hit "Find all" or "Find
next" the cell is not found.

The match case and match entire cell contents boxes are NOT checked,
and the standard options show below are what is displayed. I am using
excel 2007.

Any thoughts on what may be causing this problem? Thanks for any
suggestions.

Both the 'Find' and 'Replace' functions operate based on your
selection. If you only have 1 cell selected then it assumes you want to
act on the entire sheet. If the selected cell contains the text you
want to find, nothing happens if it's the only cell with that text. If
you click 'Find next' and there is no other match then it notifies you
of this.

Normally, the 'Find next' function works really fast, but that depends
on how many cells containing data that it needs to check.

You should also state what version of Excel you're using and what
Operating System it's running on. Include whether x86 or x64 for both!
