edit embedded objects

I am editing a Powerpoint presentation that a marketing firm created. I need
to edit some busiiness logos in this presentation but they are embedded into
the presentation.

Is there a way for me to edit them?

That depends on how they are 'embedded'. Is the logo a placed graphic on the
Master slide? Are they part of a 'background' for a slide/master?

If they are part of a single Jpeg (either placed on a slide/master, or set
as the background for a slide/master) then you can't easily remove them
without using photo editing software. And this will be even harder if they
appear over a background which is not a solid color.
