Hi, is it possible to edit sound with WMM 2? I have a video with a segment of
sound where there are only 8 hi-hat hits. On the 5th hi-hat hit the bass
player sounded one note that should not have been there. Can I extract the
first 4 hi-hat hits and then copy them over the next 4 hi-hat hits in order
to eliminate the bass note? If not, can it be done with another product?
Thank-you for your help.

Something to try...

You could save the audio as a separate
..wma sound file by dragging the movie
clip to the Audio/Music track and then go
to...File / Save Movie File / Next / Next / Next...

Then you could reimport the .wma file and
use the splitter to cut the file and remove the
unwanted portion.

Just drag the .wma file to the Audio/Music
track and play it. You can pause the music
and click the Split button at the bottom of
the view window (or type Ctrl+L) when you
are ready. After the cuts are made....right
click / delete...the unwanted portion.

Next, create a project with your video file
and split the video on both sides of the
unwanted audio. Right click the unwanted
audio and choose...Mute.

Now drag the .wma file to the Audio/Music
track and drag it left or right to try and sync
it with the movie.

I hope this makes sense...good luck.

You could extract the audio to a .wav file then then use Audacity to
manipulate the sections you need to. Then you can import your new
audio into the audio track for your movie.

Audacity is an open-source audio recorder and editing program.
