Hi
First time on PCREVIEW so please bear with me,
bought a SAAB PARTS CATALOGUE on e- bay, to order parts by part no,
but cannot get it to run ,took it to my friends garage and it worked on his computer,(windows xp) so i assume disc is ok, am told to find system exe to run it on my pc (windows xp) but cannot get exe.
can anyone help me please.

Could you paste the full error that you get in here and that will help - I presume you have Windows XP too? :)

I bought a Mercedes workshop manual on DVD via E-Bay several years ago and could never get the thing to run.

It had some quite complicated instructions to make it run and it did actually change parts of the operating system. In the end I gave up on it and had to accept the fact I'd wasted a tenner.

Doncha just love E-Bay sometimes? :)

Are there any specific instructions with the software?

How does your friend's PC differ from yours?

Is your version of XP patched to SP2 and have all the updates applied?

Which versions of Office, if any, are you and your friend using?

Try this ...

1. Open Windows Explorer or My Computer.
2. On the menu, click Tools / Folder Options.
3. Move to the "View" tab and look for the "Advanced
Settings" box.
4. Look for an option that reads "Hide extensions for
known file types" and uncheck it.
5. Click "Apply" and then "OK".

Is the drive not set to auto run is that why it will not load?

Open the drive in my computer and then the Disc and look for setup.exe and double click it.
