When I chat with someone, I hear the echo of my voice. He
too complained of the identical problem

Hello,
Have you adjusted the volume settings on both ends? Or tried using headphones? You can also go throught he Audio Tuning Wizard again and uncheck the box that asks whether or not you're using headphones which will help reduce the reverb. You can find this by going to Tools then Audio Tuning Wizard.

Hope that helps :-)

If the echo of your voice is complaining then I'd be suspect, because in the
true sense of the word it isn't an "echo". Do you ever hear the Mormon
Tabernacle Choir faintly reverberating inside your head?

You might want to check out alt.audiohalucinators.com, as I doubt this is a
messenger problem.
