Loaded up IE6 and on the top line of "file, edit, view, favs, tools &
help"
there is an "ebay" next to help - have'nt installed anything and my virus
/
spy /adware can't detect it - anyone know where its from and how to remove
it
What happens when you right-click on the toolbar and under Toolbars select
to NOT view it? Is the eBay toolbar listed?
Did you install some garbage bundled software that included the eBay toolbar
and you forgot to uncheck the option during the installation to not include
it? Maybe it then shows up in Add/Remove Programs, or you will have to
uninstall the garbage bundle (and reinstall without checking the option to
include eBay, if the option is provided).
The malware scanners didn't find the eBay toolbar because it isn't malware.
At some point, you choose to install it. See
http://pages.ebay.com/ebay_toolbar/. I'm just guessing that it is the eBay
Toolbar because "next to help" (which presumably means next to the Help menu
in the standard toolbar) does specify what type of object is this "eBay"
item. Could be another menu. Could be a toolbar. Could be the IE icon
replaced with an eBay icon.
