Have a colleague who has purchased a PC with XP already
loaded. I don't use XP so can't answer her query.

She chooses how many users on installation - she chose 3

She installed games under her user but want's them to be
shared amongst another users. Can this be done without
installing the software twice?

Thanks.

It depends on the software. Sometimes, you can just move the shortcut from
c:/documents and settings/userName/Start Menu to c:/documents and
settings/all users/start menu, and it will be fine. Other times, you have to
actually run the installs twice. However, it installs on top of itself, so
it's not as if you have to give up extra disk space. More and more
developers are thinking in terms of multi-user systems, but as you can see,
there is still a LOT of room for improvement in the industry.
