I want to convert a couple of gif/jpg files for use as icons. Do I need a
special program? If not could someone please tell me how to do it?

Thanks in advance... Bob

Try Click, a 235Kb stand-alone application that lets you paste-to-fit
images to create icons and even drag a cursor over your screen to capture an
image to convert it to an icon

Thanks for the link Rod, have you tried the Chimer Program? Nice to see that
none of these programs require installation and make no changes to your system.

Too bad clic has to add a folder to your start menu when you run it.
Otherwise, nice.

You're welcome. I tried the Chimer, as I tried other clock programs for my
desktop, but I must say for some reason I didn't keep it. Can't remember why
as I tried dozens of clock progs, and I'm now a very happy user of TClockEx
