easy cd and dvd creator 6

When I use this together with CD burner BTC ide5224, more often than not I get "insert a blank disk " when there is already one in the drive.
I have Googled etc for an answer and it seems a common problem but I have not found a solution.
I have all the latest upgrades for Easy.......Creator
Any help will be appreciated.

Do you mean you are using 2 different,"Burning" products?
It's not clear from your post?

Sorry. Easy CD and DVD Creator 6 is Roxio burning software. BTC ide5224 is a CD burner hardware drive.
If it's helpful, I'm using Windows ME.
