The easiest way to fix all problems and headaches you have with your PC, is
to switch to a Mac. You can do every thing on a Mac that you can do on a PC
and more, easer and faster. No crashes no "blue Screen of death", they do
what you want them to do, when you wont them to do it.

I have been using Windows XP for over 2 years and I have yet to see a BSOD
(OK, I've seen one, but that was easily resolved by updating my DSL driver).
To state that Macs never crash either, is another falsehood - true they
don't give you BSODs, but they *DO* crash - my father had an OS 8 machine
that crashed spectacularly. Besides PC users have had that kind of stability
for years - it's called 'Linux'.

As for being able to "do everything on a Mac that you can on a PC", that is
not true, I run many applications that will not run under the Mac OS without
some kind of Windows emulation.

Thirdly - have you ever tried to upgrade a Mac?! Say you had a G4 system and
all you wanted to do was upgrade it to a G5, but you had components you
wanted to keep - could you do it? No you could not. There is no one selling
Mac components and, until that happens, PCs will always be the system of
choice, especially amongst the modding community. Macs are 'throwaway'
machines, much like the computers of yore.

One final thought - Macs *are* PCs...think about it...

Now, could someone please tell me why I've just attempted a logical argument
with a troll?! Especially one with the spelling ability of a preschooler...

How would buying a Mac fix PC problems?? If a person bought a Mac.
Would it ,ake teh PC BSOD's disappear somehow?

Seems to mean you would have both a Mac and a PC.

Buying a Mac won't get rid of the BSOD, so sir. I was referring to
completely dumping your PC and switching. I have been using XP Pro since it
came out, and every other week I have to download some kind of update to a
fix. I like XP Pro a lot, I think it's the best version of windows yet, but
why can't Microsoft spend a little more time testing and working out the
bugs before they release their software? Obviously they threw Window's Me
together over a week end, and started shipping it just so they could make a
profit.

So you're telling me that the Mac OS never needs patching/updating? That
it's perfect with each new release (which can only be purchased with a new
system). Apple is the only company that only ships its software with its
computers, and doesn't allow its users to upgrade their OSes without
purchasing an entirely new system. There are patches available for the Mac
OS, but Apple has the audacity to charge for them - at least MS offers them
free (true, if you don't have DSL/cable you will have to pay a $10 shipping
and handling fee if you require Office or Windows patches on CD, but apart
from that...)

Then, why did you say buying a Mac would fix my PC problems? If I
followed your advice, I'd have PC and Mac problems.

Unlike Apple. Windows has to be able to run on many differnet
hardware configurations. It is impossable to debug sucj a system. Whereas
with Apples. You have to use Apple hardware. It's easier to write
programs for one set of hardware that you the complete specs to then
hundreds of different hardware created by someone else.
Obviously they threw Window's Me together over a week end, and started

This is an XP newsgroup. What does ME have to do with anything.

Also, Saying that Macs don't need patches, Never crash, or are virus
proof is a complete and blanant lie. I've seen Macs crash. I've seen Mac
patches. And as for virus. They don't get as many only because Macs have
a very small piece of market share.

And then there is the one thing that you Mac-Users seem to forget. If I
wanted a Mac.....I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT A FRIGGEN MAC!!!!!!!!!
