Okay, I'd like some opinions on what constitutes
'good backup software'. Are you thinking GHOST or
DRIVE IMAGE or the like?

Using IE6 & WinXP Home. I want to back up some data files (nothing huge) to
a cd-rw in the simplist and easiest manner. Should I use the MSBackUp
utility that came with my XP or this there an easier way. I seem unable to
just drag and drop using my Roxio CD Creator5 program...cannot figure out
how to do this. Anyway all suggestions are welcome. I have limited
computer knowledge and and just want to keep things simple. Thanks in
advance, Fran

The MS Backup program will not write directly to a cd so you would have a 2
step process of first creating a backup and then burning that file to a cd.
If you have Roxio just click on Start, All Programs, Roxio Easy Cd Creator
5, Applications and then click Easy CD Creator. In the upper window,
navigator to the folder or files you want to backup, click on them to
highlight and select Add. Keep doing this until you have all your files
selected and then click on Record.

Yes DI is much easier to use than Ghost in my view. I found the Ghost manual
horrible.

Take a look at TrueImage from www.acronis.com. Works great and from within Windows.
