I recently posted the thread Best internet provider to catch viruses. While
I realize Swen emails are not generated by my computer, I thought one way of
beating it at least for a while was to change providers and email addresses.
Anyway, I've been looking in to a few but while surfing yesterday, I went in
to "My Account" which is part of Earthlink. They now have a toggle switch
you can turn off and on to catch viruses at the server side. It is off by
default. Well, I turned it on and got none of the dreaded Swens today.
Hopefully, that solves the problem.

Same thing happened to me. A year ago Earthlink said they would not
participipate in virus scanning. I guess something changed. I hope all the
ISP's will do this too.

The Spamblocker option works great too :-)

I also thought that my computer was generating those dreadful Swen emails.
Is it not true that our computers already have the Virus and are generating
these E-Mails?

P.S. It works great!!! Blocks the virus e-mails just fine. It seems to
use "Brightmail".

I've turned them on. I sure wish they'd told me about this option!
