Are there any early versions of Acdsee which are now freeware?

Susan, thanks for the link.
When I try to run the downloaded executable to install Acdsee 2.2
into XP I get a message saying I can not run 16 bit programs.
Setting compatability modes via the EXE's properties do not help.
Any idea what I need to do?

Maybe you should try a program before you comment on it. :-\
I have/am using it. It isn't crippled and is the closest thing to ACDSee
that's free.

I was going by the info on their web page on the differences between the
free and the pro versions. It does not seem (to me) that it warrants
downloading and using it with all the limitation, but then again, I HAVE
NOT TRIED IT.
