Help!!! How can I download an earlier version of Windows Movie Maker? My new
computer came with the latest version and it is not as good as the earlier
version on my old computer. The new version will not recognize any of my DivX
files or any of the files filmed on my Sony Handycam or the Sony mini DVDs.
The old Windows Movie Maker had no problem with those files, but the new and
improved one is incompatible. This new Windows Movie Maker is a joke; I'm
about ready to buy a Mac!

My current problem is with XP. My Vista machine that had an earlier version
of Movie Maker worked fine with these formats.

FWIW...Vista does not have an earlier version
of Movie Maker than XP.

OK...there's an earlier verison you can download
for XP but I have no idea if it will solve the problem.
By all means...create a System Restore point
before installing the earlier version...then maybe
you can revert if you do not like it. Good luck.
