I was having problems with BF1942: Road to Rome with
crashes so i decided to get help from the Ea Games Web
site. This is what they told me to do:

Windows 2000/XP
1) Right click on the 'My Computer' icon and
select 'Manage'
2) Click 'Disk Management' in the left pane
3) Right click on the CD-ROM and select "Change Drive
Letter and Paths..."
4) Highlight the drive letter in the list and
click 'Remove' then click 'Yes' to confirm
5) Next, right click on the CD-ROM and again
select "Change Drive Letter and Paths..."
6) Click 'Add' and select the lowest possible letter then
click 'Ok'

Now this has royally screwed up my computer adn my cd-
rom/dvd drive won't read any discs. I'll put one in and
it will pop right out again after about 10 secs. I've
tried everything. Please help.

Hi Andrew,

Have you tried changing the drive letter back to what it was?
If you do, and it still doesn't resolve the issue, then...
Use Win XP's System Restore to return your system to a previously stable date:
