I am having problems starting my MOH game. I keep
getting a message that it fails to open "OpenGL".
I'm currently using Windows XP Pro. Can someone help.

Joe

what video card are you using ?

I would say you need to update you video card drivers. XP does do have good
drivers for most cards so the best is always from the card manufacture. What
video do you have?

You need to install the drivers from your video card manufacturer.

To work out what video card is in your system please check

http://windows.dasmirnov.net/guides/hardware.php

Then go to their website download and install their drivers.

I would say
get directx 9 if you don't have it already.

Medal of Honor doesn't need DirecX 9 (It works with DirectX 8). However,
it does require a video card with OpenGL support ( From the box: 16 MB
DirectX 8.0 compatible video card with OpenGL support).

If your video card does not support OpenGL (a laptop or onboard video
card, for example) you need to get one.

OpenGL is an open graphics standard that is not supported by Microsoft.
(It's in direct opposition to Direct Draw, part of DirectX) You may be
able to download drivers for your video card from http://www.opengl.org/.

Good luck.

I know this is off topic but as you discussing medal of honor
I thought I'd ask anyway..After running ATI video cards for
some time, I've moved back to an nvidia card. I'm seeing
vertical lines on the display when playing medal of honor.
I "fixed" it once but can't seem to correct the problem
again after reinstalling the latest drivers. The display issue
looks like very faint vertical lines about 1/8" wide.

I'm running a 6800 Ultra with the 61.72 forceware drivers.
If any of you have ideas on how to correct this issue I'd
appreciate your feedback. Thanks in advance!

I have that problem with many EA games, try running it in Direct 3D mode.

Sir,
go to -->" Display Properties"--> Settings--> advanced--> Trouble shoot -->
slide "Hardware acceleration" to FULL--> enable "write combining" --> apply,
OK

This will fix your problem, also try in start menu --> run command -->
"dxdiag.exe" and perform direct x test for agp acceleration and direct draw.
