Does the voice run through a server called something like
e450.voice.microsoft.com?
I see references to it in the firewall log. what is it used for? MS
recording our conversations?

This host was used for the "PC To Phone" technology introduced in MSN Messenger 4.5 (which is
now gone in most versions of Messenger). Messenger audio conversations do not run through a
server, they are direct from you to your contact. If you're seeing connections to this, more
than likely you're using an older version.
