E-Mails are gone ! ! !

Hello, this morning the owner of the company claims that
when he first arrived this morning he checked and read his
E-mails. Than later he went to a meeting and when he got
back all his e-mails from this morning were gone. So, I
check to see if there was a rule that could have caused
this, but no rules. Than I checked the auto-archive
settings and it was set to prompt prior to archive. So,
I'm lost and haven't found any issue like this on technet.

HELP !

Did you check the view on the Inbox? I had a customer once that changed his view (of course he didn't change it <G>) to display only unread messages. Thus he could see new messages but when he read them, they magically disappeared. Perfect example of the PICNIC error (Problem In Chair, Not In Computer <G>)

Depending on your version of Outlook, you could also right click Outlook Today and choose Properties, and then "Folder Size" to see if there is indeed messages in the Inbox.
