HELP!!!!
I have tried all the options and still it does not give me the option to
resize my emails in files and folders? is there something that needs to be
done in windows for this to appear? I have Windows XP Pro and would like to
have this option available to me! please help!!!! thanks

Try downloading 'Irfanview'
http://www.irfanview.com/
It's only a relatively small program, which has options that most of the
large editing programs don't have.

e.g. irrespective of your original image size, you can just right-click on
any image, go into 'Open with', Irfanview.
Image tab, resize/resample, and change it to any size you like. Whn you go
to 'Save', a right-hand pane appears which slows a slider. You can use that
anywhere from Lowest to Highest (0 - 100%) .
For emailing & just for viewing at the receivers end, I usually select
somewhere between 65-75% which will reduce the original photo size from, say
1-2MB to around 150Kb - ideal for emailing.

Just as an aside, it gives the option of saving in 18 different formats.

That's just scratching the surface of a couple of things this program can
do.

What are the options you've tried, and what's the filetype involved?

Click Start/Run and type:

regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll

If you have Office or PowerPoint (in Office), use it to resize, then save
pictures as jpegs.
