I have not the option to reduce the file size of the photo, what is missing and how do I get it?

Try this, maybe it will restore the option:

go to...Start / Run and type:

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

A dialog box should report the following:

"DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW.DLL succeeded"

I have the option to reduce the file size, but then
Outlook Express does not open and I am not able to send
pics using this option. I tried regsvr32 shimgvw.dll but
this did not correct my problem.

Anyn Suggestions?

I cannot guarantee it, but the following method may work:

How do I make OE my default mail client?

Go to...Start / Run...and type the following:
"C:\PROGRAM FILES\OUTLOOK EXPRESS\MSIMN.EXE" /reg<
(copy paste everything between the > < but not including the > <)
(But first...Check the path to msimn.exe to make sure it is correct)

Click...OK...

Then open Internet Explorer and go to...Tools / Internet Options /
Programs tab...and set OE as the default mail (and news) program.

Good luck.

I have a similar problem. Three weeks ago Iwas able to select photos in
photo view within Windows Explorer and select the icon to the left to "E-mail
this file" which brought up an option to reduce size or keep original and
send it to MS Outlook 2003. I installed PhotoDeluxe 2.0 and now I cannot
e-mail from the folder view. Now I select the photo, click "e-mail this
file", either reduce or keep (it doesn't matter) click OK, a processing bar
pops up momentarily and then nothing. I have checked my IE Tools, Internet
Options > Program Settings and they are correctly set to Microsoft Office
Outlook (except for Newsgroups which is set to OE without other options). I
tried to DLL reset which did reset, but didn't work. Any other ideas?
