downloaded to me on XP? I have tried every way I can in
the messenger menu and nothing seems to work.In fact I am
now wondering if indeed it does work at all!
Please help,it is doing my qiunce.
Many thanks

Hi,

Is this porn email or messenger popups that have porn in them? The latter
can be stopped simply by enabling the Windows Firewall. Check the advanced
settings of your network connection. To correct the former, either get a new
email address or learn how to setup filters for your email client (not all
clients support these, but without knowing what you are using it is
impossible to tell you how to do it).

Read your email as plain text, set security so install on
demand is turned off. You can get a pretty good system
security scan for free at www.pcpitstop.com

It has nothing to do with XP. If someone knows your address, you
can't stop him from sending you mail. This is as true with E-mail
as it is with snail mail.

However, you can do a couple of things to alleviate your problem:

1. Change your E-mail address and guard it zealously. Don't use
it on newsgroups, don't give it out on the web, don't supply it
on forms.

2. Change to an ISP that uses good spam filtering.

3. Use spam-filtering software on your own computer.

You know you have made a wrong turn on the Internet when
some guy named Nutcase tells you how to get rid of p0rn.
