E-Mail will not open

Hello, I am running MS XP Home edition. I can open Internet Explorer and surf with no problems, however when I try to open my E-Mail I get the following error.

Windows cannot open this file:
File: MSN7.mailhost
To open this file, Windows need to know what program created it. Windows can go online to look it up automatically, or you can manually select from a list of programs on your computer.
I tried to restore but it would not do it with sucess. Short of doing a complete restore do you guys have any ideas on what I might try? Thanks in advance.

What e-mail client are you using to read your e-mail? Outlook Express? If
so, did you configure Outlook Express with your e-mail server?

Did you configure Outlook to connect to your mail server under Tools -
Options- Mail Setup?

I went back and checked and rechecked my settings and still can't read or write in my e-mail.
 
I have had this happen a number of times. Uninstalling & reinstalling
the MSN software always solves the problem.
