I am having trouble sending e-mail. I keep getting an error message that
says"Your IMAP command could not be sent to the server due to non-network
errors. How do I fix this?

hi carolina
could u help coze i am trying to send an e mail to my ex in canada co its
comeing witherro here my msn to get to to me (e-mail address removed)

I am having the same problems with setting up my e-mail. What was the answer
you received.

That's not the complete error message. We can't help unless you
post the complete error message.

That is the completel error message.. I am getting the same thing and its
getting really frustrating! I have tried everything possible to get stupid
windows mail to work. I know its not a memory issue because I have a brand
new laptop with the max amount of memory I could have gotten on it.

When you get the error message ""Your IMAP command could not be sent..."
there should be down-arrow that looks like two V's. Click on that symbol to
expand the error message.

If all else fails, you can always upgrade to the replacement email program,
Windows Live Mail: http://download.live.com/wlmail

I am running Windows 7 RTM very nice but I don,t like to find a mail
program, please put it back in Windows again.

No need to hunt around. Windows 7 has a link for Microsoft Essentials
which includes Windows Live Mail.
Unfortunately, the silly courts of your European Union (EU) are forcing
Microsoft to unbundle the mail program and the browser.

When I try to add my new gmail account to my new HP laptop with Windows
Vista, I get the same message as Henglo. When I hit the drop down arrow to
show the "details", it says Account: IMAP.GMAIL.COM Server:
IMAP.GMAIL.COM Username: hamackercpa Protocol: IMAP Port: 143 Secure
(SSL) 0 Code: 800ccc0e
I have downloaded the directions from Google's website to set up access in
Windows Mail and have followed them closely several times and each time I get
the same message as shown above "You IMAP command could not be sent server
due to non-network error. This could, for example, indicate a lack of memory
on your system." Again, my computer is brand new with lots of memory...

What do you suggest?
Thanks, H

Are you using Windows Live Mail rather than Windows Mail?
If so, you will get more help by posting that question in the WLM newsgroup:

http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...dg=microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop
or via your news reader: news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

Regarding the "details" of the error message, yours appears to be a
paraphrase rather than a verbatim copy.
Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here,
or if more appropriate, a new post to the WLM newsgroup..
