I tried to add a song as background to an e-mail and a window appeared
saying some or all of these pictures may not be sent, or words to that
effect. Do you want to send. I clicked yes and I had music when I clicked on
the SENT mail, but the receiver did not. I have been using Eudora and have
switched to OE as a new user. Baldeagle

Maybe the receiver did not have the program to open the music file that you
have sent him. Does your mail server support the format that the music file
was sent ? Jym

I sent my mail to 8 people, non could hear the music. A good question. I
am using Earthlink as my ISP. How can I find out if the support it. And
thanks for your response.

I was curious so I sent myself a wave file , (I presume your music is also)
and it received and was opened by my music program (MusicMatch).
I also have Earthlink. Try what I tried and see if it works. Jym

Sorry, I have sent music to myself but it has not arrived. I selected a
song from My Music and as soon as I clicked open it began to play, stopping
when I clicked TO: I then selected it in Sent mail and it began to play,
stopping when I left it. I also have MusicMatch, but it didn't open.

Use the attachment key when you format your message. Select location of
music file from the drop down menu. It does not have to play first. Jym

The straying vagrant finally arrived, but no music to be heard. I should
add that this same situation arises when I copy/paste a pic from an incoming
e-mail and try to send it out again. All blank rectangles with a red X.
Thanks, Baldeagle

Thanks to your help, the sound problem solved. I was trying to send MP3
songs, and it would not work. I send a simple signal and it did. For your
information, the error message is as follows: "One or more of the pictures
in the message could not be found. When you send the message these pictures
will not be included. Are you sure you want to send the Message? Yes No.
Please accept my thanks and apology for taking so much of your time. At 85
years of age I am not as quick on the trigger as I once was. Thanks again.
Baldeagle
