E-mail notification animation

I've seen certain animations (dog barking in the corner of your screen, etc)
when you get a new e-mail. Where can I download programs like this? Do
they even make programs with little e-mail notification animations?
 
Its got a lot of spyware embedded in it from what I understand and I don't
know that it works in Vista.
