E-mail Name vs E-mail Address

Is it possible to force the Contact Phone List to display
the E-mail Address ([email protected]) instead of the E-
mail Name (AB User)?

Most of my contacts have multiple addreses and I would
like to have a quick visual check of which address is
currently selected.

Using Microsoft Outlook 2000 SP-3 (9.0.0.66627)

Selecting Contacts in the Folder list and Phone List as
the view, some of the entries in the E-mail column
display as a name while others show as an address.

Using the Addrees Cards or Detailed Address Cards views
also displays a mix of name and address in the E-mail
field.

It doesn't seem to matter whether there are 1, 2, or 3 e-
mail entries for a contact.

What determines the display format? Is it a function of
where or when the contact is created?

You need to be more specific. There are a number of Email fields. To which
are you referring?
I would imagine you are actually referring to the Display Name, not the
actual Email field. Each version of Outlook has used a different format for
that field: the familiar name, the actual email address, or both.
