Well, you do have to select it when you are installing IIS, in the Details
section. The SMTP server isn't necessary, you don't need the SMTP server at
all. I haven't got Outlook installed, but installing the SMTP server gives
me the CDO objects.
Aah, I see, so IIS is just a general name for it? I thought IIS was just a
posh name for Personal Web Server. I stand corrected.
What's a feature? IIS? Yeah, a disabled one for XP Home edition, I was just
saying that the article that Microsoft previously had on their site
explaining how to get IIS to work on XP Home doesn't work for me, I believe
this may have been *fixed* so that it doesn't work on a more permanent
basis.
